Can baton twirling help you lose weight?
I am 13 almost 14 and am overweight and I want to lose weight.
I am on the baton team for my school and we do dancing routines with our batons. We are going to do Football games, Pep rallies, Parades and Competitions.
My question is: While learning the routines and doing them and twirling the baton, can it help me lose weight? It's a lot of moving and dancing and if you're not sure what it's like just google team baton routine videos.
Yes! I twirled baton for 5 years and was a national gold medalist. At the time I was about 5'6" or 5'7"
And weighd about 105 lbs. And trust me I ate ALOT! like I'm talking 2 burgers a wrap and a side of fries! Haha, but I also practiced for like 7 or 8 hourse per week. But yes it is great for that and it really tones your arms, you know what they say "no one has better arms than a baton twirler". Also baton wasn't so mucha schol thing it was a ver competitive sport so yours could be different. On youtube look up Stacy Singer and watch her routines.
