Another good thing about electric trimmers is the fact that they require very little maintenance. All you have to do is to keep the blades clean and well lubricated.
Rechargeable trimmers, on the other hand, do not have cords and have unrestricted mobility. They are also lighter than your gas or petrol trimmer. The advantage of this type is that you do not have to worry about tripping on the cord. It also makes reaching distant areas much easier.
Another key feature of the rechargeable trimmer is that it can be used for delicate trimming. This is best used for shaping shrubs to keep your yard looking beautiful.
The batteries of a cordless trimmer can last for 30 to 40 minutes depending on the task done. To keep the cells active and to avoid oxidation, you should charge them at least once every three months.
Gas trimmers are basically designed for heavy-duty trimming. It has unrestricted mobility too just like the cordless trimmer. The downside of this type is the fact that it is much heavier and noisier. But then again, the power is greater. This type is most suited for large properties. Also, this is more expensive as compared to the first two.
Let me just say that the choice is yours to make. You can choose the heavy-duty gas trimmer or pick the cordless one, or you can just stick to the trusted electric hedge trimmer.
