How To Develop Those Skinny Calf muscles into Big Calf Muscles
Whiles it is true that the calf muscles tend to get a lot of negative publicity as being the most difficult muscle group to train and develop –this is only true because the old fashioned way of training your calf muscles simply do not work. In reality it is possible to develop that big calf muscles if the correct exercises, calf routines are practiced with the proper form and technique.
When it comes to developing bigger calf muscles it is not enough to just do endless sets and repetitions of straight-legged calf raises because you will most likely end up with nothing to show for all that effort.
What the straight-legged calf exercise will do is to build power and strength if done correctly with the right routine. If you want to build those big calf muscles you must put effort and focus into training the Soleus and not just the Gastrocnemius muscle mass.
The Soleus muscle can be best trained with any bent-knee calf exercises such as the seated calf raise. The Gastrocnemius is not strongly involved in this movement and so all the muscle stimulation is placed on the soleus muscles. The Soleus muscles responds well to high intensity, heavy weight, fewer sets, and more repetitions per set since it is composed mainly of slow-twitch muscle fibers which respond to high intensity and high repetition sets
However there is a little calf muscle that is often ignored and to get big calf muscles you need to develop this calf muscles-and this calf muscles is called the Anterior Tibialis . The anterior tibialis is an essential muscle to be trained if you want big calf muscles. This muscle can be best trained with toe raises.
Here is how to perform this calf exercise -simply place the heel of your foot on a platform, such as a weight plate or dumbbell placed gently on the floor (you may pad your feet with a thick cloth if you feel uncomfortable). Now simply raise the weight with your toes as high as you can in a controlled fashion. Lower and repeat. This works the anterior tibialis muscle and gives you big calf muscles.
Rebound training is another technique that experts recommend for developing big calf muscles. This can be a great finisher for a calf routine. Rebound training is performed by simply skipping or jumping rope or jumping onto and off a box, landing on the balls of your feet.
It is best to do this in between sets of your donkey calf raises and seated calf raises this will give your calves a good burn and an intense pump that will give you the bi calf muscles you want.

Four to six will not be much work, but if you have access to any type of feed then you could double to eight or twelve. Small acreages work better when cross fenced so the cattle do not eat the small regrowth. Get some bails and rotate your fields or the fields will not come back. Irrigation is also needed to ensure quick regrowth on grazed fields. One thirty to fifty pound bail per animal every couple of days will supplement the diet when the pasture is bare.
