If you're looking to buy some bumper plates cheap, definitely go local. If there is nothing you can drive around to get, on local buying sites like eBay or Craigslist, then go with Pendlay Econ V2 bumper plates. You'll have to pay a bit more for these econ style bumper plates, but you won't be disappointed. They will hold their value for years, and there is free shipping which is great. You could buy a pair of twenty five pound bumper plates and a pair of forty five pound bumper plates and then stack on metal plates whenever you need to add more weight. That is the cheapest way to do it right there, you're welcome.
If you have some creativity and ingenuity and some spare tools, you can make bumper plates out of tires! This is bumper plates cheap, really cheap, and that is almost ghetto style basically. You'll have to do some welding, and they will probably break in a few months, but if you're going super cheap, this is the route to go. There is also another way to do bumper plates cheap, if you have some welding experience. You can take a metal plate and weld rubber around it and this will give you a rubberized metal plate that will do the trick.
Another way to do bumper plates cheap, is going after used bumper plates, discontinued bumper plates, or checking a few times a week on your favorite bumper plate sites for sales. If there is a sale, then jump on it! They rarely have sales on bumper plates and if you see one, don't wait. Set aside however much it costs and pay it off later! You won't regret buying a good quality pair of bumper plates cheap, while they are massively discounted. Also, make sure there is free shipping because shipping several hundred pounds of anything can get really expensive and you could be paying hundreds of dollars for shipping. Most sites offer free shipping, but not all of them, so make sure you shop around to find one that does.

How do I install a front plate on a car with nowhere to install front plates?
I have a 2001 Stratus and my state requires that I affix a front plate. Unfortunately, there's nowhere on the front bumper to put the plate! I bought the car out-of-state.
