How to calculate bmi results with a persons body fat when their weight and height are measured to detect a healthy, overweight or even obese result, which will then need analysing for major health risks and problems all round. Doctors and other health care professionals use this BMI chart to identify individual over weight health risks. Many of these fatal as certain cancers can erupt due to the great amount of fat surrounding the body.
A healthy BMI has good fat consistency surrounding the body so if your at a 1.70 meter height and you weigh at around 65kg-70kg then you would be in the ideal BMI range of 18.5-25. This is the general way how to calculate bmi. Maintaining this healthy result is a must in ensuring your health isn't at a greater risk.
Body fat calculations are more specific as they require more measurements and use a lot more math for the end result but no tool or formula will ever give an exact result to whether you have too much body fat. Fat grows everywhere in and around the body so fat that stores around the organs (visceral fat) may not be accurately evaluated. As everyone is different, once you know how to calculate bmi and get the estimated results, categories for people to fall in are differed, because two people in the same BMI range are still completely different, even with the same percentage, as their bone densities and organ sizes will be differed. Knowing how to calculate bmi is a set way for most, but the results will always differ.
Whilst it is good practice to monitor and maintain your body fat calculations, you should always take it up with your doctor or other health professionals to give you an assessment of health risks you may or may not be subject to. There are also differed calculations for men and women as women store more fat, their bodies will have results that are completely separate from men's, so make sure you are doing the correct BMI calculation and Body fat calculation.
Finally, knowing how to calculate bmi, as with many formula's and calculated guides, no true or exact result is ever made possible. As with these 'guides' they all stick to just one motive and that's to only supply aid towards risks and negative outcomes for 'at health risk' people. Exceptions fall in many area's, like a female gym enthusiast will show results, probably, in the ‘underweight' category of body mass index but this does not put that individual in any risk as they can live a healthy lifestyle as it will show physically.

BMI of 18.1 --> too low? health affects?
I like the weight, I'm happy with it. But aparently anything under 18.5 is underweight. But it's not like i have a bmi of 16 or anything, so is 18.1 ok? Like I would rather not gain weight unless of any health affects.
you should try gain that little bit of weight necessary to be considered "healthy" but I doubt being .4 points under would really matter though.
